Equipment free-float steam traps can be installed in a wide variety of equipment where steam is the heat source. The entire series covers a wide range of condensate from several hundred kilograms per hour at the bottom to tens of tons per hour at the top, making it the most widely used of all TLV steam traps. In addition to continuous condensate discharge and a large condensate discharge capacity despite its compact size, it also has an automatic blowing mechanism with powerful air rejection capability thanks to the X-element.

Product Features

• The float (free float) floats up and down as condensate flows in, discharges condensate, and closes when steam flows out. The X-element, which is an air vent, exhausts not only cold air but also hot air. As a result, the steam chamber in the equipment becomes a steam-only space, and the heating performance of the equipment can be fully demonstrated.
• Since the float is a high-precision sphere, it rotates and a wide area of the sphere becomes the sealing surface, resulting in a long service life.
  The J3S-X and J5S-X are also made of stainless steel body material for even greater durability.
• The X-element is designed to open the valve even in case of failure (fail-open construction).
